Inspiring Women of Science & Technology: Yesterday and Today: Infographic

According to the Department of Labor, there are expected to be more than 10.5 million STEM jobs by 2028. And job opportunities in STEM are expected to grow by 8.8 percent, which is faster than the average for all occupations. Seven of the top 20 fastest growing careers in the United States from 2018 through 2028 will be in STEM, according to the DOL. Yet, according to the American Association of University Women, women only make up about 28% of the STEM workforce—and a big part of why that number is so low is a lack of female role models.

We at Infobase salute women in STEM and pay homage to the great female scientists of the past and present with this infographic. Use it to inspire your female students and patrons to become the next generation of great scientists.
